With four nominations for the upcoming Gold Trille Awards Gala, which recognizes and celebrates the excellence of French Canadian music, Jacobus creates the effect of an explosion with Caviar, his second solo album to be released on February 1 via Indica Records.
Somewhere between introspection and hedonism, between questioning and swaying, between rap and electro, Jacobus tries to reconcile the candour of his youth and the refinement of a thirty something year old.
The Caviar album was created in pleasure which is felt through the very first beats that venture into festive and dancing airs. He confirms the new Jacobus sound shaped together with DJ Unpier and Kenan Belzer.
The Acadian rapper goes off on this album that further reveals his colours and whose first two songs, About Moi and Faire la fête in collaboration with Pierre Kwenders set the tone.
The theme of the style is interrupted on Fur Coat HandmeDown in which he praises second hand clothes that are handed down from generation to generation, as well as on The Art of Manliness.
He pays a heartfelt tribute to a cinematographic legend on Mr Bond and also to the ultimate place to get everything on One Stop Shop.
Caviar became available in stores and online February 1st.
